Meet Children's Author Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich [VIRTUAL]

Meet Children's Author Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich [VIRTUAL]

Join us in welcoming children's author, Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich, virtually to Suffolk! Gbemi will read an excerpt from one of her books and answer questions submitted by local students to discuss the experiences that shaped her into the author she is today, her writing process for fiction and nonfiction, and more.

Ask a Question!

Local students have the opportunity to ask a well-known author any question they want and be featured in the final video we premiere to the whole community! Kids can even submit a video of themselves asking the question to be added to the video. Library staff will select five questions out of all of the submissions to ask Olugbemisola. The five students selected will be invited to a special virtual VIP mixer with the author on October 7, 2020 at 11:30 am to get to chat with her in real time. Additionally, we will randomly select five students from all questions submitted to participate in the mixer. All ten students will receive a copy of one of Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich's books. Submission deadline is 11:59pm on Sunday, September 27, 2020. Open to all ages and will be most relevant to grades 3-5.

Submit your question through this form.

If you have any trouble opening the form link please email awatkins@suffolkva.us.
