January's focus is Engineering and STEM. The Career Access Network will provide an interactive demonstration of the Rube Goldberg machine to introduce skills needed to work in Engineering and STEM-related fields. Imagine using a machine built from a ruler, a shoe, marbles, a bucket, and a few pieces of rope to squeeze juice from an orange. That's a Rube Goldberg machine for you--a really elaborate contraption that solves a simple task. How wacky will your machine be?
