What's Found Underground: Archaeology & Artifacts

What's Found Underground: Archaeology & Artifacts

Do you want to know more about what archeologists have found right here in Virginia? Join us for “What’s Found Underground” to learn how they identify and clean artifacts, while learning about the people who lived there years ago. Find out what’s so special about American Indian culture and history by studying their pottery, and even create and decorate your own clay pot! Get ready to be fascinated by how archeologists have mapped the past long before we had GPS to see just what’s found underground! STEM program focusing on cool artifacts with guest presenter from the Fairfield Foundation to teach about archeology, preservation, and education.
