Afternoon Conversations: HRSD and the Sustainable Water Initiative for Tomorrow

Jamie Mitchell, Chief of Technical Services for HRSD, will give a presentation on HRSD's managed aquifer recharge program, Sustainable Water Initiative for Tomorrow. The SWIFT program is designed to reduce nutrient discharge to the Chesapeake Bay, provide fresh water for Southeast Virginia, and has the potential to mitigate land subsidence. This event is part of the 125th anniversary of the Suffolk Literary Club program for environmental awareness and appreciation of the Chesapeake Bay.
